Dr. Corris P.A. Davis is a higher education leader, consultant, and trainer with more than 25 years of experience as a practitioner (28 years including her early student and paraprofessional roles) and over 15 years designing and delivering professional development. She partners with colleges, universities, and nonprofit organizations to strengthen student success initiatives, modernize systems, and build staff and leadership capacity.
Her consulting work spans higher education strategy, organizational development, project management systems, training design, compliance, and process improvement. She is especially skilled at translating complex policy, research, and regulatory requirements into clear documentation, workflows, and tools that improve efficiency and long-term sustainability.
Corris brings extensive experience in federally funded programs, having directed multiple TRIO initiatives—including Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math/Science, Educational Talent Search, McNair Scholars, and Student Support Services—and having trained or supported professionals across all seven TRIO programs through regional and national training grants. While she has deep TRIO expertise, her systems-based and equity-centered approach extends to broader higher education initiatives, cross-campus collaborations, and student success strategy beyond any single funding stream.
With graduate degrees in Information Technology and Public Policy, Corris bridges strategy and systems—helping organizations modernize project management, streamline operations, and integrate technology in thoughtful, human-centered ways.
She has served in presidential leadership roles on state and regional professional boards and as faculty on multiple federally funded training grants for more than a decade. Grounded in the belief that “to whom much is given, much is expected,” she approaches her work with clarity, generosity, and purpose.
In addition to her consulting work, Corris works full-time at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
